During the hey-day of the now defunct Satellite Lounge, in which Robert got to know David Beebe, the founder of the Houston group El Orbits (an ensemble of talented younger players who masterfully perform covers of post-war American R&B and pop). That friendship with Beebe and El Orbits is the foundation on which this new recording came into being. Culled from a liveshow at Houston’s Continental Club, this disc is something special - the first full-length album to highlight Robert’s singing on every track. “I love those guys,” he says. “They are fantastic musicians and have been so generous to me...Playing with them is just a whole lot of fun.”
